Outing

Nope, SAM results didn't come out yesterday. Maybe coming out tomorrow. Went for a movie and futsal with the guys. Imagine me playing futsal. Lol. We watched 'Ninja Assassin'. I only liked watching Rain strut his moves, other than that; nope. The cast had good martial arts skills though I kind of doubt their 'skills' are real. it was interesting watching them fight but not so when the blood spurt out like pipe water. O.o'' really looked like red pipe water. They have to work on the special effects =P But the storyline was quite okay and somehow quite predictable too.

Moving on, futsal. Hmms. 1st time playing futsal and I don't think this would be my last time doing so. It was fun. I didn't wear shoes and now my feet are all black :( (Must wear shoes next time) I was marking Siew Hong most of the time. Till he actually 'scolded' me and said ''YOU AGAIN?! I SIEN ALREADY LAH'' Lol. He is so funny when you try to provoke him. So there I was, following him all over the field :) Haha. Oh, I got hit by the ball twice. First time on my shoulder blade and second was on my upper arm. My upper arm actually went a lil red after that. But I'm good now. Haha. play games like sure will get hit one.

Now anxiously waiting for results to be out tomorrow.

P.s: Too bad Janine didn't come to play some futsal...

I Miss High School & College

but mostly high school. Can't blame me, I've spent 5 years with the same people. I think it's natural to feel that way...

I still think this is fascinating. Lol. Holes made by crabs. And look at all the tiny sandballs! How is this possible?? I guess I'm easily excited over things like this.
I am going to look for a job soon! Haha. No more lazing around in the house. Oh, and I'm not starting Uni early next year, maybe round May or June... Or maybe August. Hmmms. Maybe not so much August. Lol.

P.s I'm putting up random posts due to extreme boredom

Back from pangkor (updated version)

Yea, I'm back from pangkor. Overall the trip was fun. Even learnt how to play poker from Chung Yi, Choon Lim and Chin Wei. Kam Yoong, Zhen-Howe and Chung Wye gave me some pointers. So confusing. Poker is actually quite addictive once you get a hang of it. Lol. Chung Yi was very nice to give me some chips when he won and Chin Wei didn't take away my chips when he won, benefits of being a newbie. Haha. Aaron showed me magic using cards. One word describes it, WOW. Lol. Kam Yoong showed me magic too. It was hilarious, but at least Kam Yoong made some progress with his skills at the end of the day :)

During the first night, Ji Ann and I couldn't sleep so we went to the living room where Chin Wei and Choon Lim were still awake. Robin came in and all of a sudden all of us were sharing ghost stories. I couldn't sleep after that. I feel so bad for making Robin stay awake with me till 4am. I found out that I still manage to feel fresh after 3 hours of disturbed sleep. I think I woke up at almost every hour from 4 something to 7. O.o" But during poker night with the guys cannot tahan already. Haha. Even had the floating feeling as if I was still on the boat.

Did I mention that I went cruising? I witness sunset out at sea. So beautiful. Orange, red and yellow all blended in nicely. The work of Mother Nature. Truly magnificent I would say. How many chances does one get to actually watch the sun set at sea? Still waiting for the photos on facebook. Haha. By the way, I actually thought that I was hallucinating already when I had the floating feeling at night due to sleep debt.

Pangkor is a very nice island. Really. Oh, I also learned a fun fact. If the sand is white, that means there are corals nearby, if its yellowish then no corals. Saw sea cucumbers and a sea urchin. The uncle who showed us the sea urchin said, " Aiya, inside no meat 1" because someone said that he wanted to eat or something but I can't recall who. Haha. Sea cucumbers are no fun to handle. Chung Wye got goo all over his legs when he was holding one. The goo looked like some kind of glue.

Dinner during the trip was not bad at all. In fact it exceeded all of our expectations. Too bad the crab was not fresh or the meals would have been almost perfect.

On the way back to KL, we stopped at Sungkai. I didn't even know that there were hot springs in Malaysia. Don't know if the ones at Sungkai are real or not but they were really fun. We went to rendam our legs in the water. So nice and comfortable. There was even one that can only be used to cook eggs. No cockles or any other shellfish, vegie and food.

I hope to have another trip like this again with my friends :) It's not often we get to go on trips together.

Cards

If you had a choice, would you rather use a DEBIT or CREDIT card? Most people use credit cards. Some even have more than one. Sometimes credit cards come in handy but only sometimes. Definitely not those times when the bill comes and you need to pay up. I just think that credit cards make you spend money that you don't actually have. In other words, 'wei lai chien' (mandarin) / 'mei loi chin' (cantonese), these words mean future money. So, in short it does mean money we don't have in our pockets yet. There are people who don't care about what money they spend. They just keep spending. One good example would Rebecca Bloomwood from the Shopaholic series. I haven't met anyone who is a crazy shopaholic like her and hope I won't ever. Continuous spending is NOT a good thing. If I had a choice, probably gonna go with the debit card. I think it gives people that sense of reality one need to hold on to before falling too deep in the shopping frenzy and there is no way to climb out from it.

Having holidays can be a good or bad thing. Good thing: No need to wake up early. Bad thing: You get bored, at least I am right now. It's even worse when you get a long holiday. Too long a holiday makes me lazy.

I used to love holidays a lot as a kid but now... Holidays seem dull. But on the bright side, at least I get a lil rest and to think about what to do. Currently reading The Reincarnationist by M.J Rose. Borrowed it from Janine. It's plot is quite good for those who like suspense and some thrill :) Really gets you to turn the pages. And the name speaks for itself. Gets you thinking bout reincarnation. Off to read the book now. I'm hungry. Randomness. Haha.

Just a little too not over you

It's almost 1a.m. I just realised that uploading pics on blogger is actually pretty SIMPLE. I thought it was a tedious task at 1st but it didn't turn out to be =) I'm going to put in more pics into my posts from now on. I think pics brighten up people's days, don't you agree?

I have officially finished SAM on the 11th of Nov 2009. A relief swept over me and I couldn't help smiling when the invigilator said, "Time's up, if you continue to write, it is considered as an act of cheating and you will be penalized". That sentence signified the end of the course of my 10 months long struggle with SAM. Ahh, it's nice that I don't have to do past year q's n all but I bet I'll soon start to bore myself and waste precious time. I'll soon be missing my college buddies =( already kinda am missing 'em.

We have to move on when it's time. This apply to everything that happen in our daily lives. Example: You like someone but it's not going to fruit ---> move on. You know you have to but you are just stubborn as anyone out there. Saying its love and bla bla bla. I guess its just human nature to be that stubborn and not wanting to move on. Perhaps we are just afraid that if we do move on and like someone else, the same thing's gonna happen again. That's just an assumption. It kind of stings a lil when your crush tells you who they like and it just doesn't happen to be you. But that's life isn't it? I plan to face life as it is =)

Yesterday is the past, today is the present & tomorrow is a mystery
One of the many important lesson I learnt this year is appreciate life and those people in my life. We only have one life to begin with, we're definitely not cats....

Why do I say that? This year alone, two people I know have passed on. May god bless their souls. Life is really short for us to dwell on grudges and fruitless actions. We must really learn to move on or we would miss out better things in life. There are always friendship, family and work when love fails.

Isn't the handphone strap above just adorable? Super colourful too! That's my bestie's name
